We are pleased to announce that SCRREEN, in collaboration with PROMETIA, will host a dedicated Side Event at Raw Materials Week 2025 entitled:
“From Value Chain Resilience to Responsible Technological Solutions: Unlocking the EU By-Product Potential by Innovative Processing and Recycling.”
The event will take place on 17 November 2025, from 14:00 to 18:00, at La Plaza Hotel, Brussels.
This high-level session will address how Europe can make better use of by-products from extractive and metallurgical industries, resources increasingly recognised as critical for the green and digital transitions. Discussions will focus on how innovative processing and recycling can support the targets of the Critical Raw Materials Act:
- 40% of EU demand from domestic production
- 25% from recycling by 2030
The event will bring together policymakers, researchers, and industry representatives to explore responsible management practices, highlight innovative technologies, and showcase opportunities for the recovery and valorisation of minor metals and industrial residues.
