SCRREEN launches its 2nd Call for Experts
The SCRREEN project has launched its 2nd Call for Experts to support the review and validation of Critical Raw Materials data in view of the upcoming 2nd SCRREEN3 Validation Workshop, which will take place in Brussels from 22 to 25 September 2026.
Through this call, SCRREEN is looking for research and industry experts with relevant knowledge of Critical Raw Materials value chains. Selected experts will contribute to the review and improvement of raw material factsheets, helping to strengthen the quality of the data and information that will feed into the ongoing criticality assessment and support the work of the European Commission’s DG GROW.
The selected experts will be invited to review factsheets related to their area of expertise before the workshop. The reviewed factsheets must be submitted by 15 September 2026. Experts may participate in the workshop either in person in Brussels or online.
Who can apply?
The call is open to professionals from research and industry, including active or retired experts, based in EU Member States or in third countries associated to the European Commission Programme.
Applicants are asked to provide evidence of their expertise, including:
- a CV for industry experts;
- one or more relevant scientific publications with DOI for research experts.
Applications will be reviewed by the SCRREEN committee and DG GROW.
Financial support
Selected experts will receive:
- €500 for the advance review of factsheets;
- up to €750 to support physical attendance at the workshop in Brussels.
Experts attending online will receive compensation for the factsheet review only.
Application deadline
Applications must be submitted by:
31 July 2026, 17:00 Brussels time
