The SCRREEN3 Consortium held its latest in person meeting on January 14th and 15th, 2025, at the EIT House, Brussels, bringing together key players from the raw materials sector, European institutions, and research organizations.

At the EIT House, the event facilitated discussions on foresight studies, network activities, and upcoming strategic objectives for 2025.

The meeting commenced with welcome remarks from Gaétan Lefebvre (BRGM), followed by an address from Milan Grohol (DG Grow), reinforcing the European Commission’s commitment to enhancing the resilience and sustainability of Europe’s critical raw materials supply chains.

A focal point of the first day was the update on foresight studies, where EIT RawMaterials led a discussion involving representatives from DG Grow and JRC Petten. This was followed by an interactive session dedicated to factsheets, ensuring all consortium members aligned on key methodologies and findings. The day concluded with a session led by Frédéric Lai (BRGM) on harmonizing the “Other Consideration” section of factsheets, promoting coherence in the consortium’s outputs.

The second day opened with updates on network activities presented by Roberta de Carolis (ENEA), highlighting the growing engagement and collaboration within the SCRREEN3 community. Gaétan Lefebvre and Stéphane Bourg (BRGM) then outlined the objectives and deadlines for 2025, setting the direction for the consortium’s next phase.

Further updates were provided on project management by Gaétan Lefebvre and Mathilde Videlo (BRGM/LGI), as well as on communication activities and 2025 events by Marco de la Feld and Giuseppe Salvio (ENCO). The meeting concluded with a session on additional business discussions, ensuring all members had the opportunity to address any outstanding matters.
