Presentations from the 3rd EU critical raw materials event now available!

It was a good opportunity for the raw materials community to discuss and exchange on all relevant issues.

The main event of the week was the 7th annual High-level Conference of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) on raw materials. It reported on the continuing work on the EU Masterplan for a competitive transformation of energy intensive industries. Which, in turn, facilitates a climate-neutral, circular economy (also implying resource security for strategic industrial value chains), as well as supply chain transparency. The week also focused on critical raw materials, updating participants on the latest activities at European and international level, all with the publication of the next list of critical raw materials in mind. Other topics addressed included

  • innovation and skills for raw materials
  • Horizon 2020 technology success stories
  • the EU raw materials knowledge base
  • forest-based industries
