Description
Today the European Commission includes in its list of 27 critical raw materials a group of elements with chemically similar properties: rare earths. Among them, europium and terbium. In order to avoid counterfeiting, Euro banknotes have special inks which contain these two raw materials, highly sought after for their luminescent qualities.
